Manda Borealis is a Portland-based art director, graphic designer, illustrator, and creative branding genius consultant.

I am schooled in electronic mass communications, trained in brand development, and am fascinated by the culture-changing power of design. With more than a decade of experience in design and illustration, my work has empowered brands to effectively influence the culture around it. Using creative brand strategies, I partner with large and small companies to find targeted media that’s impactful and purposeful.

My life passion has always been art in any form. My roots are in studio painting and illustration. As a Feminist and Mother, I am intrigued by the tango of feminine and masculine energies, and how it impacts the modern realms of love and abuse; within relationships with others and ourselves. Through painting and illustration, I explore my personal experiences within these realms by showcasing the balance of the dark and the light.

I guess you can say I have many hands in many cookie jars… I thrive in multi-faceted worlds and there’s no other way I can exist.
